MEETING THE COMMUNITY

At SNG (Saturday Night Gaming), we set up a table, brought a few controllers, and let people play. No pitch deck, no script. Just conversations with players who game on their phones every day and had opinions about what's missing.

A few of those conversations stuck with us.

"I DIDN'T KNOW I COULD PLAY THIS IN MOBILE"

This came up more than once, and it's the market truth we keep running into. There's massive unawareness about what's actually possible on a phone right now: cloud gaming, remote play, AAA titles that people assume require a console or a PC. The device isn't the barrier. Awareness is.

One player told us he'd been playing the same three casual titles for two years because nobody had told him what else was out there. Ten minutes with a controller later, he was asking why nobody sells this properly.

"I STOP WHEN I WANT TO STOP, NOT WHEN THE APP WANTS ME"

This one mattered to us more than we expected. A lot of gaming products are built to keep people scrolling, tapping, and playing past the point of enjoyment. The players we met wanted the opposite: meaningful sessions that respect their time and end when they're done, not when an algorithm decides.

That's quality per minute over hours played, and it's exactly what we optimize for. We're not chasing addiction metrics. We're building for the fifteen minutes someone actually wants to spend.

"FINALLY, SOMEONE WHO CARES ABOUT THE CONTROLS"

Small detail, but it came up again and again. Players notice when a product cares about the minute things: input lag, button feel, how fast something connects. Most companies in this space are focused on specs and margins. The players we met wanted to know someone had actually thought about how it feels in their hands.

"BUILDING THIS WITH PLAYERS, NOT JUST FOR THEM"

Every meetup reminds us why community sits at the center of what we're building. Planet Koyozo isn't a slogan, it's the actual place where these conversations continue after the event ends: in Discord, in the subreddit, in-app. The players we met aren't users. They're the reason the roadmap looks the way it does.

If you were at SNG and talked to us, thank you. If you weren't, come find us at the next one.
